Children & Teen Therapy.
Children & Teen
Play therapy, expressive therapy, and parent coaching for children ages 5 and up. We help kids and teens make sense of big feelings, difficult transitions, and experiences that are hard to put into words.
We use evidence-based, developmentally appropriate methods — play therapy, expressive arts, and trauma-informed approaches — adapted for each child's age, temperament, and family context. Parent involvement is built into the work from the start.
What we work on
Anxiety and worry. Behavioral challenges at home or school. Trauma and difficult life events. ADHD support and emotional regulation. Family transitions — divorce, relocation, new siblings. Identity, self-esteem, and peer relationships.
How we work
For younger children, play is the primary language. Sessions may include sand tray, art, puppets, or games — all purposeful, all clinically guided. For teens, we meet them where they are: sometimes talking, sometimes using creative expression, always at their pace. Parents receive regular check-ins and coaching to reinforce what we're working on in session.
Parent involvement
You are not dropped off at the waiting room. Parent consultation is woven into the process — because what happens between sessions matters as much as what happens in them. We offer practical, realistic guidance you can actually use at home.
At what age do you start seeing children?
We work with children ages 5 and up, through adolescence.
What if my child refuses to come?
That's common and okay. We meet kids where they are and build trust at their pace. Some of our best work starts with a reluctant client.
Do you involve parents in sessions?
Yes, intentionally. We check in with parents regularly and offer coaching so the work continues at home.
