How do I know if I need therapy or an assessment?

Often both. An assessment first to get the map, then therapy to do the work. On a 15-minute call, I can usually tell you which to start with and why.

What happens during the 15-minute consultation?

You tell me what's bringing you in. I ask a few questions. I'll tell you what I believe is the right next step, even if it's not with me. No forms, no pressure.

How soon can we start?

A consultation is usually available within the week. Therapy intake follows within 7–10 days. Assessments are scheduled around school calendars, typically 3–5 weeks out.

Sí. Ofrezco servicios en español para apoyar a la comunidad hispana. También cuento con experiencia como maestra bilingüe, trabajando con estudiantes de diversos países y con diversas necesidades.

Do you offer therapy in multiple languages or have experience with cross-cultural family dynamics?

Yes. Services are offered in English, Spanish, and Korean. Sessions may include language-specific support, visuals, and resources when appropriate.

At what age do you see children?

Children ages 5 and up, teens, adults, and families.

Do you work with teens who don't want to come?

It's common. I meet them where they are, build trust at their pace and create a space where they feel respected, not pressured.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes. Most insurance is accepted through Headway, which manages verification and billing. Each client, including children, requires their own Headway account. Superbills are available upon request for out-of-network reimbursement.

Why is couples counseling offered on a self-pay basis?

In many cases, insurance does not cover couples counseling unless services are tied to a diagnosable mental health condition. Self-pay allows therapy to remain focused on the relationship and your shared goals rather than insurance requirements.

Do you see clients in person or over telehealth?

Both. The office is at 1325 Main St, Suite 501, Katy, TX 77494. Telehealth is available for clients anywhere in Texas.

Is my information confidential?

Yes, with the standard legal exceptions (imminent harm, child abuse reporting). We use HIPAA-compliant tools for everything, including email and video.
