Neurofeedback &
A qEEG (quantitative EEG) is a noninvasive brain map that shows patterns of brain activity compared to a normative database. This information guides a targeted neurofeedback protocol to support ADHD, anxiety, sleep, trauma recovery, and performance.
We begin with a qEEG brain map to understand what is happening, then design a measurable neurofeedback protocol based on your data, not guesswork. Sessions are in-person in Katy. Please contact us to confirm current availability.
Why measure first
We begin with a qEEG brain map to understand what is happening in the brain and identify which networks are underactive, overactive, or dyscoordinated. This allows us to design a targeted, measurable neurofeedback plan based on data, not guesswork. Most neurofeedback approaches skip this step. We do not. The qEEG also provides a baseline, with follow-up mapping to track progress over time.
What a session looks like
You sit in a comfortable chair. Sensors are placed on your scalp with a conductive paste (no needles, no pain). You watch a screen or listen to audio that responds in real time to your brainwaves, rewarding the patterns we are training toward.
qEEG Brain Map
Session lasts more than 60 minutes. Channel recording is analyzed against a normative database.
Protocol Design
I review the findings with you and design a targeted training plan.
Neurofeedback Training
Each session lasts 30 to 60 minutes. Sessions may include behavioral strategies and biofeedback such as breathing exercises to support regulation and strengthen brain function.
Remap and Reevaluate
Completed midway and at the end of care to measure progress and adjust the plan as needed.
Is neurofeedback safe for children?
Yes. It is non-invasive and has been used with children and adolescents for over 30 years. We adjust protocols for pediatric brain development.
Does insurance cover it?
Rarely, unfortunately. Most families use HSA/FSA funds. We provide a Good Faith Estimate for the full course before starting.
