School Evaluation & IEE.

School Evaluation

Independent Educational Evaluations for families who disagree with a school district's assessment, plus IEP consultation and educational planning support for children with complex learning profiles.

If you believe your child's school district assessment did not capture the full picture, you have the right to an Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE). We conduct comprehensive IEEs that are recognized by school districts and can be used to request or revise an IEP.

What an IEE covers

Cognitive and academic evaluation. Language and processing. Social-emotional and behavioral functioning. Autism spectrum assessment when indicated. Review of prior school records and district testing. Observation and teacher/parent input.

IEP consultation

Already have an IEP but feel lost in the language or process? We offer IEP consultation to help families understand what the document means, what their child is entitled to, and how to advocate effectively in school meetings.

Fees and school calendars

School evaluations are self-pay. Assessment timelines are coordinated around school calendars. A written Good Faith Estimate is provided before any work begins.

What is an IEE and when do I need one?

An IEE is an evaluation conducted by an independent professional outside the school district. You may request one if you disagree with the school's evaluation. The district must consider the IEE results in any eligibility or placement decisions.

Will the school accept your report?

Yes. Independent evaluations by licensed professionals must be considered by the IEP team. We write reports specifically designed to be used in that process.

Can you attend our IEP meeting?

IEP meeting attendance is offered on a case-by-case basis. Contact us to discuss your situation.
